NAC Breda are set to clinch the signature of FC Groningen captain Sander van Gessel on a four-year deal.Van Gessel - who was out of contract in the summer - will sign for NAC once he has completed a medical.
The Dutchman had a brief spell with SC Heerenveen in 2000 but returned to the Oosterpark Stadion in 2001.
Meanwhile, FC Groningen have tied Mark Jan Fledderus to the club until 2007.
The former Heerenveen midfielder has played fourteen games this season and recently scored his first goal in the club's game against RBC Roosendaal.
