Bristol City will be without top goalscorer Leroy Lita for their final two matches of the season. The England Under-21 international will miss the matches against Yorkshire sides Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday after the Football Association upheld Lita's two-match suspension for using foul and abusive language at a match official.
The 20-year-old was also fined £250 for his indiscretion during the club's recent goalless draw at West Country rivals Swindon Town.
The former Ashton Gate trainee had been handed his ban last week, but The Robins decided to appeal against the FA's ruling.
That appeal was heard on Wednesday and The FA have decided to stick with their original punishment.
The news is a setback for Brian Tinnion's side, who need victories against Donny and The Owls to have any chance of reaching next month's League One play-offs.
