Falkirk are contemplating rescuing Jack Ross from his Hartlepool United nightmare.Ross has vowed never to play for Pools again, despite only joining the League One outfit from Clyde last summer.
The 28-year-old midfielder is homesick and wants Pools to tear up the remaining year of his contract.
But the promotion-chasing outfit are not keen to lose Ross for nothing and are hoping to receive a fee for his services.
Falkirk, who will be playing in the SPL next season, were keen on Ross during January's transfer window.
They remain interested in the unsettled midfielder and are waiting to discover if a deal can be struck to take Ross to Falkirk next season.
"Jack's situation is a bit of a mess at the moment so that's something for him to sort out," said Falkirk manager John Hughes.
"If things can be resolved then he's definitely a player we're keen on."
