Chester City are set to keep just eight of their current squad.New manager Keith Curle has told a host of players they are free to find new clubs, whilst also just offering one new deal.
Carl Regan has been offered new terms, while Chris MacKenzie, Phil Bolland, Stephen Vaughan, Sean Hessey, Ben Davies, Ryan Lowe, Michael Branch and Stewart Drummond have all been told they have futures at the club.
However, the rest have been told they have not been kept or if they have a deal - then they can move on.
These include captain Paul Carden, Richard Hope, Cortez Belle, Darren Edmonson, Wayne Brown, Michael Brown, Andy Harris, Matthew Cook, Joe O'Neill, Robbie Booth and Shaun Whalley.
"No player can afford to spend a year out of a manager's plans so it's a chance for those players who have been offered settlements to further their careers," said Curle.
