Caracciolo could leave Brescia

Arsenal target Andrea Caracciolo could be set to leave Brescia.

Arsenal target Andrea Caracciolo could be set to leave Brescia at the end of the Italian campaign.

The talented striker has been the subject of much speculation after netting 11 goals in 33 games and Arsene Wenger has been tracking his progress for well over a year, although The Gunners' approaches have been met with a rebuttal so far.

With a host of European sides interested in picking up the 23-year-old, the opening of the transfer market looks set to be a busy time for the player, as Brescia could be ready to offload their star man who has also been linked with Barcelona and Celtic.

Alberto Casavin's side are currently languishing in the Serie A relegation zone with just two games to play, and if they fail to achieve salvation they could decide to cash-in.

Even if they retain their top flight status the financial rewards from the sale could prove hard to dismiss, as Arsenal have been linked with a ‚é¼10 million move.

With league issues forefront in the club's perspective Brescia are avoiding talk of summer sales, although once the season draws to a conclusion Caracciolo's situation will be addressed.

If Caracciolo does complete a move to Highbury he will join young compatriot Arturo Lupoli at Arsene Wenger's side.
