Kieran Richardson was delighted following his two-goal debut for England.
Kieran Richardson was delighted following his two-goal debut for England.The Manchester United winger, who has shone whilst on loan at West Bromwich Albion, struck within three minutes of his debut against America in Chicago.
Just before the interval he added his second which proved to be the winner.
"It is unbelievable really, it is a great feeling, it is an honour and I can't believe it really," said Richardson.
"It [the goal] went in the top corner and it is so great, it is just an honour to play for England.
"I was a bit nervous [early on] but the goal definitely settled me."
Richardson was forced off late on with a hamstring problem and he now hopes he will be fit for England game with Colombia on Tuesday.
"I felt a twinge in my hamstring and they took me off as they didn't want to risk it," he said.
"I will train and see how I am but I hope to play against Colombia."
