Adriano boost for Inter

Adriano will be able to play the first leg of the Italian Cup final against Roma.

Internazionale have been handed a boost with the news that Adriano will be released from the Brazil squad to play in the Italian Cup final.

Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has concurred on a compromise with his Inter counterpart Roberto Mancini, whereby the prolific hit-man will return to Italy to face Roma.

Adriano will leave the Brazilian headquarters on June 11, play the next day and then return to his homeland on June 13.

However, the player will not be allowed to play in the second leg on June 15.

''It's a very nice satisfaction for me,'' said Adriano.

''Beside that I will not be allowed to play the second match, I am very calm because the club knows that I have done all that is possible to play.

''We had a good conversation with Parreira and the most important thing is that he knows that he can count on me for the next games.''
