No Owls move for Stan
Sheff Wed have not been in touch regarding Birmingham winger Stan Lazaridis.
Stan Lazaridis' agent has refuted rumours that Sheffield Wednesday have registered an interest in the Birmingham City winger.Reports have claimed that Championship new boys Wednesday are planning a bid for the Australia international.
Owls boss Paul Sturrock is anxious to strengthen his squad following their play-off success and speculation has linked the Scot with a bid for Lazaridis.
But the left-sider's agent John Viola revealed he has not been contacted by the Yorkshire club and that Lazaridis' priority is being fit for the start of next season for Birmingham.
"There has been no contact," Viola told skysports.com.
"He's got another year left on his contract and he's back in Australia getting over his injuries."
Lazaridis has spent the past six years at St Andrews but the last campaign was plagued by injury problems.
The 32-year-old signed a new contract with Blues last summer, which ties him to the club until 2006, while there is also the option for a further 12 months.
He is considered an integral member of Blues' squad by manager Steve Bruce and any future interest in the Australian is likely to be given short shrift.
