Ajax close on Rosenberg

Ajax are close to completing the signing of Malmo starlet Markus Rosenberg.

The 22-year-old, who is currently on Sweden international duty, is set to pen a four-year deal with the Amsterdam giants.

A fee in the region of ‚é¼5 million is believed to have been agreed for one of Sweden's brightest talents.

"We are very close to an agreement with Malmo concerning Markus Rosenberg," stated director Arie van Eiden to Sportbladet.

"We have good relations with the club. It is a matter of a few days before everything is signed.

"Since Rosenberg is playing for the national team this weekend, we can't sort out the final details.

"We hope to present him as our new player next week."
