Glennon eyes Carlisle exit

Matt Glennon seems set to move on from Carlisle after rejecting a new contract offer.

Matt Glennon seems set to move on from Carlisle after rejecting a new contract offer from The Cumbrians.

The 26-year-old has been with the club since moving to Brunton Park from Hull in the summer of 2002 and has been a regular in the starting line-up for three years.

Carlisle boss Paul Simpson was keen to retain the services of the keeper and handed him fresh terms, but Glennon appears set on a new challenge.

"Matty has been in this morning and has submitted written confirmation that he won't be accepting the one-year deal that we have offered," Simpson told the club's website.

"He has a couple of other possibilities that he is looking in to so it looks like he may be moving on."
