Grimsby have signed young Nottingham Forest goalkeeper John Lukic.
Grimsby have completed the signing of young goalkeeper John Lukic from Nottingham Forest.The 19-year-old is following in the footsteps of his namesake, and father (pictured), by making a name for himself in professional football.
The youngster had been at The City Ground for eight years although remained the club's third choice behind Barry Roache and Paul Gerrard over the course of the season.
Mariners boss Russell Slade has now moved to bolster his shot-stopping options with the capture of Lukic, who joins Terry Barwick in making the move to Blundell Park this week.
Lukic expressed his pleasure at moving to the League Two side, and voiced his hope that he could claim more first team football under Slade's guidance.
"I'm pleased to sign for Grimsby and just want to be playing in the first team," Lukic told the club's official website.
