Brescia ace's Viola plea
Andrea Caracciolo wants to leave Brescia to join Fiorentina in the summer.
Palermo and Liverpool are chasing Andrea Caracciolo but the Brescia striker's preference is to join Fiorentina.Caracciolo is widely expected to leave Brescia during the summer after the club were relegated from Serie A.
Brescia are hoping to pocket é¼12 million (£8 million) from the forward's sale and have already fielded an offer of é¼8 million (£5.3 million) from Palermo.
The Sicilian side were prepared to throw in a player as a makeweight in the deal but Brescia are only interested in a straight cash transfer.
The two clubs are expected to meet again in the coming days but reports in Italy claim Liverpool are also monitoring the situation.
Reds boss Rafa Benitez is expected to bring in a new attacker over the summer and Caracciolo, who has previously been linked to Arsenal, is under consideration.
However, the 23-year-old's preference is to stay in Italy and he is hoping to tempt Fiorentina into making an offer.
Caracciolo's agent Tiziano Gonaga has confirmed there is strong interest in the hot shot and has issued a come-and-get me plea to the Viola.
"Caracciolo has received offers from inside Italy and overseas clubs as well," Gonaga told Lady Radio.
"However, if a proposal were to come from Fiorentina then he would gladly accept.
"Director of sport Pantaleo Corvino is one of the best around and we await his call."
