Sporting to retain Rochemback
Barcelona's Fabio Rochemback will remain on loan at Sporting Lisbon next term.
Sporting Lisbon have agreed a deal to keep Fabio Rochemback on loan from Barcelona next term.The Brazilian midfielder has spent the past two campaigns on loan in the Portuguese capital, and now looks certain to stay on for at least another 12 months.
The two clubs have agreed to extend their current understanding which sees Sporting paying 35 percent of Rochemback's ‚é¼2 million salary.
The 23-year-old was a regular feature in the Sporting side who finished third in the Portuguese league last year, and runners-up in the Uefa Cup.
The player admits he is very happy in Lisbon and is determined to make up for the disappointment of their European final defeat, which took place at the club's Jose Alvalade stadium.
"After the unhappy final of Uefa Cup, the players want to promise the supporters that we will give them great joy next season," he stated.
