Danny Cadamarteri has rejoined Bradford City on a two-year deal. The former Sheffield United striker was available on a free transfer after being released by The Blades.
Cadamarteri revealed his disappointment at leaving Bramall Lane, but is looking forward to regular football with Bradford.
"It is a wrench leaving United because they are clearly a club that is going places and I would like to have been a part of that," explained Cadamarteri to the club's official website.
"But it's a clean break and gives me the chance to play regular first team football again instead of playing a bit part role."
Cadamarteri has suffered from injuries in the past and Bradford chairman Julian Rhodes was keen to protect the club should they resurface.
"He had specific trouble with his knee but we believe it has been sorted out on the continent and he's not had any worries with it recently," said Rhodes to Telegraph & Argus.
"The deal structured in such a way that it doesn't penalise us too much if he doesn't play - there are lots of incentives for him to be in the team and scoring goals."
