Rovers close on Glennon
Bristol Rovers are believed to have secured the services of Matt Glennon.
Bristol Rovers are believed to have secured the services of Matt Glennon on a two-year contract. The highly rated goalkeeper was offered fresh terms by Carlisle - whom he helped to promotion to League Two last season - but has now decided to seek pastures new.
Rovers chief Ian Atkins has been pursuing the former non-league international all summer and now appears to have landed his man.
Meanwhile, striker Jefferson Louis is thought to be close to inking a two-year deal at Meadow Lane.
The former Oxford striker joined County in May from Woking and has impressed sufficiently to be offered fresh terms.
In other news, County boss Gudjon Thordarson has rubbished claims that have suggested Worksop Town midfielder Brian O'Callaghan has also been signed.
"It is rubbish. We have not signed Brian," he told the club's official website.
"I worked with him at Barnsley and did have him over in Iceland when I was in charge at Keflavik FC, and I know he is looking to try to make it again in English football.
"He played for Worksop last season too, but it is rubbish. I think because he has played with me before people link him to us.
"Obviously I know about Brian, but there is certainly nothing to report in terms of signing the player.''
