Clubs jostle for Akinfenwa
Adebayo Akinfenwa is attracting interest from a number of clubs.
Bristol City are still favourites to sign Adebayo Akinfenwa, even though Swansea City have also been granted permission to speak to the Torquay United striker, according to agent Dan Fletcher.
Torquay are hoping the high level of interest in Akinfenwa will push up his market value.
"He was offered a slightly improved deal by Torquay and probably would have stayed there if they had stayed up," Fletcher told skysports.com.
"From Championship to League One, there are quite a few clubs interested in him.
"Bristol City have got permission to talk to the player but they haven't followed that up yet. It will probably happen next week.
"There's still an awful lot of people on holiday at the moment.
"If the money's right he could go there. City need a striker and he had a great game against them last season.
"But, first and foremost, we need to sit down with Torquay and find out what they want to do."
