Pandev wants Lazio stay

Goran Pandev has revealed he wants to stay at Lazio.

Goran Pandev has vowed to stay at Lazio.

The Macedonian striker is half owned by Lazio and Internazionale and he spent last season at the Rome-based club.

Lazio are keen to keep Pandev and the 22-year-old admitted he would like to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.

"I've spoken with both sides a few days ago, I want to stay in Rome", Pandev told 'Corriere dello Sport'.

"Now, I wait for Lazio and what they want to do.

"Why I prefer Lazio? Because here I think I have best possibilities to play and to show my value.

"At Inter, there won't be a big space, it would be most difficult proving myself as there are so many champions there."

Pandev is hoping to make his move permanent to Lazio, as he feels he can establish himself as a star with the Eternal City outfit.

"I'm 22 years old and I think that for me having the possibility to stay five years in a club like Lazio, a really important club, would be a big opportunity," added Pandev.

"It's a long period that can kickstart my career."
