Tekke eyes Trabzonspor exit

Fatih Tekke is keen to leave Trabzonspor and continue his career abroad.

The Turkish SuperLig's top scorer Fatih Tekke is keen to leave Trabzonspor and continue his career abroad.

Tekke claimed 30 goals as his side pipped Galatasaray to second place behind Fenerbahce, and is now convinced that he has outgrown his domestic league.

Deportivo have been rumoured to hold a strong interest in the Turkish international, who has made clear his desire to move on to one of Europe's more prestigious surroundings.

"A player's dream must be to represent his country abroad after a while," said Tekke.

"I've been playing high level football in Turkey for many years now and have become the top goalscorer.

"I think now is the time to play abroad."

As well as Depor, Tekke's agent Ceylan Caliskan revealed that other clubs from both Germany and Spain were tracking his prolific client's progress, and backed the striker to prove a success should he leave Trabzonspor.

"Fatih has potential, I think he can score 20 to 25 goals a season in Europe," said Caliskan.

"At the moment Hertha Berlin, Stuttgart, Valencia and Deportivo la Coruna are interested in him."
