French duo eyeing Lua Lua

The Ligue 1 duo are busy planning to add to their squads, as they prepare for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Monaco are in the market for a new striker, as Javier Saviola is unlikely to make his loan move to The Principality permanent and they are considering a move for Lua Lua.

Lille and Monaco are thought to have sounded out Portsmouth about Lua Lua's possible availability.

Lua Lua's position at Portsmouth looks uncertain with French coach Alain Perrin keen to bring in new players, as he looks to shape his own team after taking over at Fratton Park at the back end of last season.

Lua Lua is believed to be interested in a move to France as he can speak French, which would mean he would have no problem settling in, if he made the move across the coast.

Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be keeping tabs on the Democratic Republic of Congo international and they have been long-term admirers of Lua Lua.

The White Hart Lane outfit tried to sign him before he joined Portsmouth and they could make a new move to lure him to North London.

Several other Premiership sides are also believed to be monitoring Lua Lua's situation at Fratton Park, but Lille and Monaco are hoping the lure of playing in the Champions League could entice him to move to France.
