Hadji joins Rennes

Rennes have signed Morocco midfielder Youssouf Hadji.

Hadji joins the Brittany-based side on a four-year deal after leaving relegated Bastia.

The 25-year-old opted to leave Bastia as he did not want to play Ligue 2 football, and has instead moved to Rennes.

Laszlo Boloni's side finished fourth in Ligue 1 after a great season last term, meaning Hadji can look forward to playing in the Uefa Cup.

The African midfielder described his move to Rennes as an 'interesting challenge' as he moved to Stade de la Route de Lorient.
