Monaco seek right winger
Monaco are still seeking a right-sided midfielder during the close season.
Monaco are still seeking a right-sided midfielder with several names on Didier Deschamps's wanted list.
Deschamps has admitted he prefers buying French players but Internazionale's Andy van der Meyde is favourite to fill the gap ahead of the likes of Real Madrid star Luis Figo.
Dutchman van der Meyde is being tipped to snub interest from Everton and elsewhere in order to secure a switch to the Principality, even if it goes against the coach's usual beliefs.
"At the same value, I was always prefer a French player that knows Ligue 1," he told L'Equipe.
"It is gaining time and that is why we are delighted to have signed Olivier Sorlin and Touafilou Maoulida.
"Last season, the squad didn't have any exciting margins of improvement.
"We were too often weak with our state of mind."
