Shrewsbury Town have signed midfielder Neil Sorvel and striker Colin McMenamin, but the club have missed on Nat Brown.Sorvel (pictured) joins The Shrews on a two-year deal after rejecting a new one-year contract with The Railwaymen.
The former Macclesfield Town player seems happy to drop two divisions in order to continue his career with the Shropshire outfit, with manager Gary Peters looking to use the 32-year-old in a central midfield role this season.
Sorvel has been joined at Gay Meadow by McMenamin after the hit-man was released by Scottish Premier League side Livingston.
The former Newcastle United marksman impressed Peters with his abilities for Livi at the back end of last season and the 24-year-old has agreed on a move south to the League Two club.
Despite the new arrivals, Peters was unable to reach a deal with Huddersfield Town striker Nat Brown.
The 24-year-old had been discussing the offer of a two-year deal with Shrewsbury, but talks broke down on Thursday and Brown has since returned to The Galpharm Stadium.
