Nicola Ventola has completed his move to Serie B side Atalanta.

Nicola Ventola has completed his move to Atalanta, signing a two-year contract with club.

Atalanta were disappointingly relegated last season, but Ventola was not put off by the prospect of playing in Serie B in the 2005/06 campaign.

Ventola had a short spell on loan at Crystal Palace last season, scoring one goal as his playing opportunities were severely hindered by a lack of fitness.

Now Ventola will hope he can rediscover the form that made him one of the most feared strikers in Italy, whilst playing for Internazionale.

The Italian has had previous spells at Bari, Bologna and Siena, and his new club Atalanta are delighted to have Ventola's experience as they attempt to make a swift return to Serie A.
