Bury sign another
Bury have signed defender Jake Sedgemore from Shrewsbury Town.
Bury have followed the arrival of striker Stuart Barlow with the signing of defender Jake Sedgemore from Shrewsbury Town.Sedgemore was one of 11 players to be released by the Gay Meadow club at last season's end, with the player penning a one-year contract with The Shakers.
The former Wolves trainee made 58 appearances for The Shrews before manager Gary Peters decided he was surplus to requirements.
Sedgemore's arrival at Gigg Lane has been followed by defender John Fitzgerald's decision to sign a two-year deal with the club on Monday.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 man had a successful loan with Bury last season from former club Blackburn Rovers.
Ewood Park boss Mark Hughes told the 20-year-old that he had no future at Rovers and that prompted the centre back to commit his future to the League Two outfit.
