Ramos rules out move

Highly-rated youngster Sergio Ramos insists he has no desire to leave Sevilla.

Sergio Ramos has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid and stated his desire to continue playing for Sevilla next season.

The highly-rated 19-year-old has attracted the interest of several clubs including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Arsenal and Manchester United, but he is in no rush to leave his hometown club.

Ramos's value rose last season with some impressive displays after he established himself in the Sevilla first team.

Madrid have made it clear that they want him and, after sending scouts to watch him on numerous occasions last season, are expected to make an offer before the start of the new campaign.

After a season that took them to the brink of UEFA Champions League qualification, Sevilla's players have become hot property and president Jose Maria del Nido has moved to stop an exodus.

In early June the club beefed up Ramos's contract and increased his buy-out clause from ‚é¼18 million to ‚é¼27 million to ward off any would-be suitors.

But Ramos is not being distracted by rumours linking him to a move away from the Andalucian outfit and has confirmed that he would be proud to stay.

"My life is here and I have no desire to leave," he told the club's official website.

"I am very happy and proud to be a Sevilla player and will stay as long as they want me.

"You never know what can happen tomorrow, but I am only thinking about this club.

"We have a new coach with new ideas and we are all looking forward to an important year."
