Parma are adamant that they will not lower their asking price for striker Alberto Gilardino.The Gialloblu are resigned to losing their prized asset with a number of top clubs seeking his signature.
Milan are thought to leading the chase for the Italian international, but both clubs have been haggling over a fee.
The Rossoneri are believed to have offered £19 million for Gilardino, but Parma are holding out for a figure close to £22 million for the striker.
Parma president Guido Angiolini insists they will not lower their asking price for Gilardino
"There is nothing new to report," said Angiolini. "The Gilardino asking price of £22m remains.
"Have we talked to Milan today? There has been no time even if the player wants to join them and we want to make him happy."
Milan are still hoping to reach an agreement with Parma and reports suggest a deal could be done in the next few days with the player hoping to win a move to the Giuseppe Meazza.
Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has hinted that the club will move for Gilardino despite his hefty price tag.
"I did say that he is expensive but I never said that our transfer campaign is over," said Galliani.
