Babel extends Ajax stay

Ajax starlet Ryan Babel has signed a new deal with the Dutch giants.

The 18-year-old striker has penned a one-year extension to keep him at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Babel broke into the Ajax side in February 2004 and he established himself as a regular last term.

The exciting talent scored nine goals last season as Ajax finished second in De Eredivisie and he also made his international debut for Holland last term scoring against Romania.

Babel joins Urby Emanuelsson and Hedwiges Maduro in pledging his future to the club.
