Rafa Benitez has confirmed that Antonio Nunez will be leaving Liverpool this summer.Benitez has been a busy man recently adding to his UEFA Champions League-winning squad, and he has also identified players who he can do without.
Nunez arrived at Anfield as part of the deal that took Michael Owen to Real Madrid, but he has been just a bit-part player.
Spanish side Celta Vigo are keen on signing Nunez and have already been in touch with The Reds about his availability, but they are not the only ones interested.
"I've spoken to Nunez and explained we've tried to find a club for him, but at the moment we haven't had the right offer," said Benitez.
"Celta Vigo are interested but there are other options."
Nunez made 27 appearances for Benitez's side last season scoring just the one goal in the Carling Cup final, but his Anfield adventure now seems to be over.
