Blades keen on Duke

Neil Warnock has admitted an interest in Wigan striker Nathan Ellington.

Neil Warnock has admitted an interest in Nathan Ellington, but conceded there is little chance of Sheffield United landing the striker.

The 23-year-old has one year remaining on his deal with Wigan, and as yet the former Bristol Rovers man has not agreed a contract extension.

With Ellington's future up in the air, Warnock has declared his interest in the forward but conceded the club cannot afford his fee or wages.

"I'd love to get him, I'm sure plenty of people would, but I think Nathan is going to be out of our price range," Warnock told the Sheffield Star.

"I don't think we could afford him, either his wages or his fee."

Meanwhile, The Blades have handed a trial to Iranian midfielder Sharu Naraji, who has previous experience with Spanish outfit Real Zaragoza.
