Peterborough United have handed a trial to former Rushden & Diamonds striker Robert Duffy. The 22-year-old was released from Nene Park at the end of last season and the hit-man has opted to try his luck with Mark Wright's side.
Duffy played in Posh's pre-season friendly at Spalding United on Tuesday and Wright is to look at the player a little further.
"He gives us an extra option and I will be taking another look at him," Wright told the club's official website.
Three players, however, will not be offered the chance of a London Road contract after pre-season trials at the club.
Cambridge United defender Andy Duncan and Southend United striker Lawrie Dudfield failed to impress the former Oxford United and Chester City boss.
Former Peterborough centre back Simon Rea was also given the chance to earn a new contract with the League Two club, but he too will need to find pastures new.
