Pletsch gets FCK deal

Brazilian defender Marcelo Pletsch has signed a contract with Kaiserslautern.

Brazilian defender Marcelo Pletsch has signed a two-year contract with Kaiserslautern after impressing new coach Michael Henke during a week-long trial.

The 29-year-old had spent five years with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach, but was released by the Foals towards the end of last season after a disagreement with former boss Dick Advocaat.

After being handed the chance of a permanent move to the Betzenberg Stadion, the tall man-marker will now be keen to re-establish his struggling career.

He will bring height and strength to the FCK backline and will be keen to bring his experience to the side.
