Steven Pressley has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal with Hearts.

Steven Pressley has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal with Hearts.

The 32-year-old only penned a new contract with the club in March, but changes to the SPL's contract procedures forced the club to renegotiate the terms of the agreement.

Pressley is delighted to have sorted out his future and reserved special praise for chief executive Phil Anderton for his efforts in the negotiations.

"I am pleased that we've been able to reach an agreement," said Pressley to the club's official website.

"Phil Anderton has approached the discussions professionally and thoroughly and I look forward to working with him and our manager George Burley in the seasons ahead.

"The club's vision for the future is very exciting and I am looking forward to being a part of that. I am excited by the calibre of players coming here."
