Gills snap up Jackman

Stockport County's Danny Jackman has signed for Gillingham.

The Hatters' defender has impressed whilst on trial at the League One outfit and has secured a permanent switch.

County chief Turner has revealed that his Gillingham counterpart, Neale Cooper, had been impressed and that a deal looks likely.

''I believe Danny has done really well at Gillingham,'' Turner told the club's official website.

''Danny's move should benefit the squad as a whole, as I would anticipate being able to make two more signings.''
