Myhre heads to Norway
Thomas Myhre has agreed a short-term deal with Norwegian side Fredrikstad.
Former Sunderland goalkeeper Thomas Myhre has signed a short-term contract with Norwegian outfit Fredrikstad.
Myhre has signed a six-month deal which includes a clause in the contract that would allow him to leave should a good offer come in before the transfer window closes.
Both parties are happy with the agreement that allows Myhre to revive his career after leaving Sunderland on a free transfer.
"Thomas told us his wishes and we discussed his conditions," FFK director Arve Mykkelbost told VG.
"In the case that an interesting offer comes from abroad, it will be fine."
Myhre sounded equally satisfied with the arrangement, saying: "I feel FFK stands in line with my wishes. This will be a trial at home for me and the family."
