Bruce's Walter warning

Steve Bruce is losing patience in his attempts to sign Walter Pandiani.

Bruce has been looking to sign the Uruguayan all summer but has so far failed to seal his signature.

Blues are struggling to come to an agreement with Deportivo La Coruna over a fee for the 29-year-old, and Bruce is becoming tired of the chase.

Deportivo want a fee of around £4 million, while Birmingham have offered an initial £1.5 million with a further million to come with appearances.

Bruce has now warned the Spanish side that the club may look elsewhere if discussions continue to drag on.

"Things are on-going, but they've been going on for weeks and sometime shortly a line will have to be drawn under the matter because it's ridiculous," said Bruce.

Real Zaragoza have rivalled Blues for Pandiani, but it now just looks like the Premiership side are the only ones in the running.
