Figo hints at Real stay

Luis Figo has indicated that he could be willing to stay at Real Madrid.

The Portuguese international looked set to leave Real this summer after dropping down the pecking order at El Santiago Bernabeu.

Liverpool and Internazionale have been leading the chase for Figo, as they look to lure him away from the Spanish capital.

However, Figo has now suggested that he would happy to stay and fight for his place at Real and see out the remaining year on his contract.

"It's difficult for a player," said Figo.

"I know I'm not first or second choice, but I want to see out my contract. I will do all I can for my club."
