Daerden not Koen anywhere

Koen Daerden will not be leaving Genk after they issued a 'hands off' warning.

Koen Daerden will be staying at KRC Genk, after the Belgians issued a firm 'hands off' warning to potential suitors.

Genk have told Feyenoord and Wolfsburg that they will not sell Daerden, after there had been some initial negotiations between the clubs.

Dutch side Feyenoord launched a ‚é¼3.5 million bid, but Genk want ‚é¼4 million for the 23-year-old and have now pulled the plug altogether.

The news is a blow for Feyenoord, who had hoped to unveil Daerden at their annual 'fan day' on Thursday.

The event sees fans attend to welcome new players, who arrive in helicopters onto the pitch.
