New manager George Burley promised a 'big week' of transfer activity at Tynecastle, and the Scot has now made yet another addition to his squad.
Bednar has signed a five-year contract with Hearts, and has joined the club for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old will now join compatriot Rudolf Skacel in Scotland, who signed from French side Marseille.
Bednar represents the second big signing within a week big signing for George Burley, who unveiled Edgaras Jankauskas on Monday.
