Ross leaves Pools

Hartlepool United have terminated the contract of midfielder Jack Ross.

The 29-year-old looks set to return to his native Scotland after vowing never to play for the North East club again.

The former Clyde player fell out with former Pools boss Neale Cooper towards the end of last season and went on to attract the interest of Scottish Premier League new boys Falkirk.

Despite Marin Scott succeeding Cooper in the Victoria Park hot seat, Ross was granted his wish at having the final year of his contract terminated by Pools.

It now remains to be seen if The Bairns will renew their interest in Ross, with the new SPL season already underway.
