Saunders moves to Belle Vue
Ben Saunders has agreed to join Doncaster Rovers on a one-year deal.
Doncaster Rovers have snapped up Ben Saunders from Central Midlands League side Southwell Town.
Saunders has been on trial at Belle Vue over the pre-season period, and manager Dave Penney has been sufficiently impressed with the youngster.
Rovers have offered Saunders a one-year deal after he scored twice for Doncaster in their matches against Fulham and Grimsby.
The 20-year-old follows recent signings Sean McDaid and Richard Offiong to Doncaster, and he faces a fight to get into the first team, with Rovers currently boasting over ten strikers on their books.
Penney will be hoping for bright things from Saunders, as Doncaster aim to secure a play-off place after missing out by just five points last season.
