Paris Saint Germain are trying to fend off interest from Marseille in Lorik Cana.Marseille have lodged an enquiry for the Albania international, who has suffered a stuttering start to the new season.
The midfielder has made just one substitute appearance for PSG this term, having been a regular in the side during the last campaign.
Cana is currently on international duty and PSG are keen to discuss the 22-year-old's situation at Parc des Princes.
He is under contract in the French capital until 2009 and PSG are determined to resist Marseille's overtures, as they do not want to strengthen one of their main rivals.
"L'OM contacted us but, for us, it is a 'no'," said PSG sporting director Jean-Michel Moutier.
"I can understand the player's situation.
"We will talk with him when he comes back from the Albanian team."
