Morfeo to stay at Parma

Internazionale's Domenico Morfeo will remain with Parma for the next three years.

Domenico Morfeo will remain with Parma for the next three years after agreeing his release from Internazionale.

The 29-year-old, who spent last season on loan at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, had been expected to be recalled by Inter coach Roberto Mancini, however the former Lazio boss has allowed the player to rejoin The Gialloblu.

The news has delighted Parma manager Mario Beretta who had built his midfield around the veteran playmaker and he will now be able to call off the search for Morfeo's replacement.

Morfeo, who scored eight goals from midfield in last season's Serie A, is expected to attend a press conference on Wednesday when the deal will be confirmed.
