Bordeaux eye Denilson
Bordeaux are ready to make a bid to loan Real Betis star Denilson.
Bordeaux are ready to make an ambitious bid to loan Real Betis star Denilson, despite stories that he has agreed to play in Turkey. The Brazilian was once the most expensive footballer on the planet, but has never quite lived up to his price tag in Spain.
Betis would prefer a permanent sale of the player - who has a multi-million pound contract at the club until 2010, but may accept a loan with a buyout clause.
This is unlikely to appeal to Bordeaux, who could only afford a loan and not a permanent move.
"We are still looking for a player that plays abroad who is available on loan and could balance our left flank," said chairman Jean-Louis Triaud.
Denilson is desperate to get himself back in the public eye to stand a chance of inclusion in the Brazil squad for next summer's World Cup.
Turkish club Vestel Manisaspor have already claimed that they have landed the player on a year's loan - but there has been no official confirmation from either Denilson or Betis.
