Saints sign midfield duo

Southampton have wrapped up the signings of Kamil Kosowski and Marcelo Tejera.

Polish midfielder Kosowski has joined Saints from Wisla Krakow, while experienced Uruguayan midfielder Tejera arrives from Penarol.

Kosowski spent last season on loan at Kaiserslautern before leaving Germany to return to Krakow.

He had been interesting Lazio and Panathinaikos, although Dutch giants Feyenoord dropped an interest in the winger.

The 28-year-old has linked up with Saints on a season-long loan from Wisla and watched the club's reserves against Chelsea on Tuesday.

Kosowski has vast experience with the Polish squad and will return to Southampton next week after his country's World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Wales.

Tejera has also joined the Championship club on a season-long loan after impressing manager Harry Redknapp in a brief trial.

The attack-minded midfielder did not require a work permit due to his Italian passport, although he is awaiting international clearance.

The same applies to Kosowski but Saints hope both players will be available for selection for next weekend's game against Queens Park Rangers.
