Nihat rejects Che claims

Nihat Kahveci has denied suggestions he has signed a pre-contract with Valencia.

The Turkish star was on the verge of joining Russian outfit CSKA Moscow last season but ultimately decided to veto the deal and stay with Sociedad.

However, there is continued speculation about his future with the Basque club as he has just 12 months left on his contract.

The player himself has made it clear his priority remains Sociedad and insists he will not start talking to interested parties until contract talks with his current employers have been resolved one way or the other.

Responding to claims he had already lined up a move to Valencia, he stated: "I don't have a pre-contract with Valencia or any other team.

"Valencia have spent three years saying I'm going there and I'm still at Real.

"The first thing we will try to do is renew my contract, if we can't then we will see.

"Real and I could still come to an agreement but it won't be easy so we'll have to go slowly.

"If we don't reach an agreement then I could talk with Valencia or other teams that want me."
