Manchev unhappy to stay
Vladimir Manchev is unhappy Levante denied him a move to Real Sociedad.
Levante striker Vladimir Manchev has vented his frustration after the club denied him a move to Real Sociedad.
The two clubs had agreed a price for the Bulgarian forward but Levante changed their minds just before the close of the transfer window on Wednesday.
The Segunda Division side failed to bring in a new forward to replace Manchev and decided not to sell him, leaving the player disheartened.
"I just cannot understand them," Manchev told the Bulgarian media.
"All summer they wanted to sell me only to change their minds when everything was settled and the price with Sociedad was agreed. I am very bitter and sad, but I have nothing else to do than play in the Second Division and see what happens."
Manchev came to Levante last summer from Lille in their first year in the Spanish Primera Division, but the Valencia based side failed to avoid relegation.
