Clubs swap players
Northampton Town and Boston United have each swapped a player on Wednesday.
League Two sides Northampton Town and Boston United have each exchanged a player on transfer deadline day.The Cobblers have signed former Colchester United left back Gavin Johnson (pictured) on a free transfer, while The Pilgrims have taken striker Lawrie Dudfield in return.
Johnson only joined Boston back in June but will continue this season with Colin Calderwood's side after signing a contract until the end of the campaign.
Dudfield rejoined Northampton on non-contract terms earlier in the month but the club have allowed the 25-year-old to move on again and head for the York Street club.
Another striker to leave The Sixfields Stadium is Eric Sabin, with the former Queens Park Rangers man following Cardiff City's Andy Campbell in boosting Brian Talbot's attacking options at Oxford United.
Boston, meanwhile, have sold striker Daryl Clare to Conference club Crawley Town for an undisclosed five-figure fee and have rejected an offer from an unnamed League One club for midfielder David Noble.
