Velasco blow for Atletico

Atletico Madrid defender Juan Velasco faces a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Velasco has suffered a strain to his right thigh, which has definitely ruled him out of Atletico's next game against Deportivo La Coruna.

It is expected the defender will be sidelined for a minimum of 15 days, thus making it likely that he will be absent for more than one game.

The 27-year-old has proven an astute signing since joining Atletico from Celta Vigo and his absence will be sorely missed by the capital outfit.
