Dragan hopes to play
Dragan Mladenovic says he happily lost money to return to Crvena Zvezda.
Dragan Mladenovic says that he happily took a pay cut to return to Crvena Zvezda from Rangers. The Serbia & Montenegrin midfielder played just eight games for Rangers after moving from the Belgrade side last summer.
A loan spell at Spanish side Real Sociedad followed but the 29-year-old failed to earn a contract in San Sebastian.
Mladenovic has now returned to his homeland and his former club Crvena Zvezda in the hope of playing regular football - turning down the financial benefits of three more years on his Rangers contract.
"I could stay at Rangers and earn much more money, but spending most of the time on the bench," said Mladenovic.
"Anyway, the financial aspects are not my priority as I would much rather play."
