Anderton worry for Wolves
Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle is confident Darren Anderton has not suffered a serious injury.
Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle is confident Darren Anderton has not suffered a serious injury setback.Anderton has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and moved to Wolves in August from Birmingham City in a bid to revive his career.
The former England international has been an influential figure during the early weeks of his time at Molineux and has impressed Hoddle.
But Anderton was forced off in the first half of the club's 2-1 home defeat to Millwall on Tuesday and left the ground on crutches due to a shin injury.
Hoddle has confirmed Anderton's shin is not broken and he is keeping his fingers crossed that it is only a minor problem.
"Darren is on crutches," said Hoddle. "He suffered a nasty blow but there's no break and he's got a badly bruised outside of the shin.
"It's very painful at the moment and will need time to settle. Whether it will settle by Saturday I don't know.
"It's good news in a way but bad news in another because we could do without the injury but we don't think it's going to be a major problem."
